Oster Pro 1200 DIY Gasket: UPDATE. In this video I show how to remove the blender cap/blade assembly without using the lever attached to the cap. When using my DIY silicone gasket, it is not locked into the cap like the original Oster gasket was. The cap will easily unscrew from the jar without having to hold the lever down. (However, if you are still using the original locking Oster gasket with this blender, then you DO still need to hold down the lever to open and remove the cap).
